How to Use Soy Wax Prepare Materials
Weigh the required amount of wax (500g / 1kg).
Prepare a melting pot, thermometer, fragrance oils (optional), and candle containers or molds.
1. Melt the Wax
- Place the wax in a double boiler or melting pot.
- Heat gently to 70–80°C (160–175°F) until fully melted.
- Stir occasionally for even melting.
2. Add Fragrance or Color (Optional)
- Let the melted wax cool to about 60–65°C (140–150°F).
- Add fragrance oil (recommended 6–10% of total wax weight).
- Add candle dye or pigments if desired, then stir well.
- Prepare the Wick & Container
- Fix the wick in the center of your container or mold.
- Use a wick holder or stick to keep it straight.
3. Pour the Wax
- Slowly pour the melted wax into the container.
- Avoid bubbles and leave a little space at the top.
4. Cooling & Finishing
- Allow the candle to cool and harden naturally at room temperature.
- Trim the wick to about 5–7mm before lighting.
